Do you have experience in park and garden work and want to maintain the municipality's parks and green areas? The Park Unit is a division within the Urban Planning Department that manages and maintains the municipality's parks and green areas, thereby creating added value for the residents of Uppsala. The position is a seasonal employment during the period 20260331-20261031.

Your mission
Your tasks include checking, pruning, and taking care of trees, hedges, bushes, planting areas, grass areas, and hard surfaces. In your role, you will also perform rounds and safety checks of playgrounds, outdoor gyms, and spontaneous sports areas, as well as note and report preventive and improvement measures. It is physically demanding work with the maintenance and care of the municipality's parks and green areas.

Your background
We are looking for someone with basic gardening education and experience in park and garden work or equivalent work in green space maintenance. Training in road work is considered an asset. To succeed in the role, we would also like you to have experience in park and garden work within municipal operations. If you have a chainsaw certificate, brush cutter certificate, or aerial lift certificate, we consider it an asset. The work requires you to have a B driver's license. As a person, you are flexible and see opportunities in changes. You take initiative and start activities to achieve results. Furthermore, you are a communicative person who easily listens and adapts your way of communicating. Last but not least, you are a service-oriented person who is calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions.
